Hey all I am writing this from my iPod (so pardon the mistakes) in a school here in Warsaw. Our students are currently getting a chance to interact with some Polish students.
Our flight was pretty good, at leaSt for those of us thatwere fortunate enough to sleep on the plane. An interesting incident occurred during Shacharis on the plane. We managed to find enough room to squeeze together a Minyan. As we finished the Torah fading, We gas the third Aliyah to an elder gentleman who grabbed the the Torah very firmly and Egan to cry during his Aliyah and the subsequent Kaddish. Afterwards I asked hima bout himself and he told
E that he was a survivor from Tarnow and that was his first trip back since the war. This trip is very meaningful for Jim as he tries to deal with the tragedy that happened to his family.
We are A little delayed getting out of the airport, but we eventually made it to the Warsaw cemetery where the kids stood by and heard about the mass grave there as well as the heroism of Janus Korcsazk. our students also had the speical opportunity to trek all the way over to the graves of the Netziv and Rav Chaim. There talked about their everlating legacy that they have left us.
So far everything has been great.
Will keep you posted
