Well the day was a full one, with alot of driving time, seeing the Polish countyside and checking out the various pit stops. At the beginning of our drive we had a chance to do some learning, we learnt a piece in Eish Kodesh (Sefer written by the Piacesna Rebbe during the Warsaw ghetto). This partuclar opiece was about Tefilla, how during times that group Prayer in a formal setting is impossible, that G-D always her the prayers from MiMaakim, our depths.
In between all of the driving though we did stop at the umshlagplatz in Lodz and the very moving monument there. The monumnet contains records of all of the individuals that were in ghetto. There is also a cattle car at this monument that the kids went into while Max explained them what the ride in the cattle car was really like.
We also heard some very moving and emotional stories that occurred during the period of the ghetto. G-D willing I will post those on Motzaei Shabbat.
Off to get ready for Shabbat, we are looking forward to praying with Rabbi Yisroel Lau this evening.
Shabbat Shalom y'all!!!
