First Day - Lodz Ghetto

Well the first day is in the books,we are now in the hotel here in Cracow. The day was exciting aNd a very good beginning. We visited the train depot at the Lodz Ghetto. At the these train tracks thousand were sent to their deaths in the various camps. At the tracks we heard the history of the Ghetto and we went inside an actual box car along with our survivors. Following the talk by the survivors we actually davened Mincha inside the car. I know a lot of the students were very inspired by this Davening. We also did a little learning on the bus. We talked about feeling the struggles and pains of another individual and how we can grow from that experience.
