We had a great Kabbalat Shabbat by the Kotel, as we sang and danced with many different groups. We came back to the hotel and had a very nice Shabbat meal with some Zemirot. Shabbat morning we split in to different groups. Some walked with Pam to daven in Shirah Chadashah, some walked in the old city with Rabbi Brodie. I took a group of boys into Meah Shearim. We screamed in Karlin Stolin and then were dazzled by the beauty of Belz. Following lunch we had a great nap to rehydrate and rest. We then interacted with some soldiers.
We davened mincha, ate Shalosh Seudos, and learnt a little before the end of Shabbat. We discussed two Zachors in the Torah Zacor what Amalek did and Zachor the day of Shabbat. In reality those are the 2 different March experiences. The horror of Poland and the beauty and vibrancy of Judaism. We must remember both but be careful to synthesize the two of them, because that makes our religious outlook complete.
Following Shabbat we walked along the ramparts of the old city where we saw first hand how the Jews conquered the city in the 6 day war, that was a unique opportunity for us.
We then caught a late meal in Ben Yehudah - more falafel and shwarma.
Today we have a busy schedule until we get to Acco our P2K city
